Friends, I have been off the grid since Christmas, and it’s been a full three+ weeks! As soon as we put Christmas gifts away we began packing up and transitioning to a home we just built. Our future home is under construction on the lot next to where we are temporarily living- how fun is that to hear every nail pounded and watch the transformation day-by-day? I’ll post pictures when the framing is complete.
This house we built is the first of three homes in our small development, Jordan Meadows. It is currently on the market and ready for some happy home owners to take residence this summer.
The exterior is in desperate need of landscaping, so I will postpone sharing those pictures.
The great room is spacious and beautifully laid out. Light floods this room, and I’m in love!
I repeatedly tell my husband that he picked a smart floorpan. It is laid out just right, in my opinion. Four bedrooms, two baths and a laundry room upstairs, and all this space downstairs.
We seem to have a lot of furniture, but this floor plan welcomes it all. Another perk is the abundant cabinetry. This one houses everything coffee!
Granted, the foyer is not much to look at, but we were so excited to showcase a beloved painting by our friend, Alexandra Rutkowski. All other paintings are to the credit of Sandra Cowley- a friend and coastal enthusiast who has decorated my home with her creative works!
Finally! An opportunity to use a rope-hung mirror! It’s been on my wish list for a while. And guess what scent the votive candle burning is! Fresh cut lumber! Just kidding- it’s a beach scent for sure, but the dominant scent in this house is lumber- which I’m perfectly okay with.
Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore covers the foyer and half bath. We used Sherwin Williams Comfort Gray for the Great Room.
More to come soon!
