The Very Best OBX Resort

Every time I return from the Sanderling Resort I say the same thing- You must enjoy a stay at this beautiful property in Duck, NC! We kicked off our 25th anniversary celebration with a couple’s massage at the Sanderling Spa. They seriously spoil their clients there. You hear the praises of rejuvenated guests up and down the hallways at the conclusion of treatments. And trust me, no one wants to leave, but that’s the beauty of it- you don’t have to! We extended our spa experience with a soak in the steam room and a refreshing wash using their signature spa products.

One of three relaxation rooms at the Sanderling Spa.

The resort offers plenty of options for guests who need to enjoy outside time too- even during the off season. After a brief walk on the beach, we suited up and relaxed in the pool-sized, oceanfront hot tub! Our after dinner fun continued next to the sand dunes as we gathered with some friendly folks around the fire pit. Oh! We highly recommend Roadside Bar & Grill in Duck! We’ll be talking about those divine seafood selections for months to come! And when you get back to your room, grab your complimentary s’mores kit and head to the fire.

Fire and s’mores, friendly folks and starry skies make for a memorable night.

And now, the room! Once we checked in, I realized why the Sanderling staff I spoke with raved on this one. My one word summary: perfection!

The Sanderling Resort amazingly blends the coastal lifestyle with a refined resort experience. It’s chic, but it’s casual too!

Before I close, let me spark your interest with something the tide washed in! By the looks of it, I knew it was old. We brought it home, and my hubby unearthed its secret treasure… Want to know what it is? I’ll be sure to share once we have a conversation with the collections department at The Mariner’s Museum!
