Richmond Bizarre Bizaar

I shopped the Richmond Bizarre Bizaar and came upon artisan, Lucy Wirsching, who dedicated her entire booth to handcrafted sailboats made of driftwood! You can visit her website here. Her artwork is very affordable, and I love the way she indicates on the base piece from where she collected the tidal treasure.

This beauty was made with recycled sail cloth and was offered at the show for $300. Lucy knows that’s giving it away. A waterman told her he can get $600 for a piece of driftwood that same size!

Keep scavenging, Lucy! Your work is beautiful and appreciated!
