Nautical Inspired Christmas

Funny story. I never intended to do beach scavenging the day I went on a walk around the neighborhood. But, when I got to the pier and saw the beach was accessible because of low tide, I headed out to inspect the last high tide’s deposits. Seeing these beautiful pieces of twisted driftwood, I was conflicted about leaving them behind, but I had no way of transporting them back to the house. Then I began a search for a plastic bag, and sure enough, one was half buried in the sand. I loaded it up, not even sure what I might do with the tumbled pieces of trees and piers… But the inspiration did come! I think these will look beautiful on my Christmas tree! All that’s needed is a bit of gold string and shimmery sand. I’m heating up the glue gun now!
